Common Questions
Here are the most commonly asked questions at Family Wellness Center:
Will you bill my insurance for services provided?
As a courtesy, Family Wellness Center sends claims electronically to most major health insurance companies. Insurance co-payments are due at the time of visit. After your insurance company has processed your office visit billing, any balance due by the patient will be billed directly to the guarantor of the account. You may receive an outside laboratory bill for any labs done outside of the office and we do not handle patient billing for these.
Does Family Wellness Center accept Credit Cards?
We accept bank debit cards, Visa, and MasterCard. However, we do not take Discover card, American Express, or Care Credit at this time.
Which of your providers are accepting new patients?
Dr. Teresa Hildebrand, Dr. Thomas Dyehouse, Dr. Karli Whittam, Stephanie Bennett, FNP, and Morgan Powell, FNP are currently accepting new patients. However, all of our providers will accept family members of current patients as a new patient regardless of insurance coverage. There are some health insurance plans which we are not accepting for new patients at this time. Please call our office for more information and updates.
Can I request an appointment online?
At this time you need to call our office scheduling line at 360-260-2773 for all appointments. In the near future, you will be able to submit non-urgent appointment requests online once you have registered in our website patient portal. For same day appointments and urgent issues, you would still need to call our office to schedule an appointment.
Can I e-mail my doctor?
This feature is not available at this time. However we are pursuing this type of communication. Patient privacy is of utmost concern to us, so we are exploring options that will allow our patients to communicate to our providers electronically in a secure environment.
How do I get a refill of my prescription?
It is always best and most efficient to call your pharmacist first for any refill requests of current medications. Be sure to provide the pharmacy with your prescription number located on the container. Your pharmacist will contact our office if the refill requires provider's approval. You should request a refill at least 3 days before the medication runs out for a local pharmacy, and at least 14 days for a mail-order pharmacy. Please allow our office 2 business days for our staff to respond to refill requests. Routine prescriptions and controlled substances such as pain medications will not be filled after office hours or on weekends or holidays.
Do I always get to see my primary care physician at each visit?
Family Wellness Center makes every effort to schedule you with the provider of your choice, however there may be days when your provider is not working and you need to see a different provider for same day urgent appointments. Since our records are electronic, the covering doctor has the entire medical chart at their fingertips so that there is continuity between staff and they can provide the best care to you and your family.
